Tapi so far makanan melayu aku tak nah jumpa kedai ala2 fine dining lagi, selalunya western food. Tapi seafood aku pernah jumpa yg jenis fine dining.

Syahid, kedai posh tu kedai mahal ler, kedai yg cam ala2 fine dining nyer style, ko bayar RM100 nak makan sepinggan besar tapi makanan kecik cukup utk 5 kali suap je contohnya, kedai yg bila ko order makan, expect kene tunggu dekat sejam

Naz, yes, kalau area2 yg dekat UiTM part of shah alam tu, have to focus on student type of foods lah. Tapi kalau kat area shah alam yg dah luar2 sikit tu, have to target family lah kot. Faizie, why dont you consider Subang?

adzimi i agree. the cafes yg aku suka attracts both chinese/malay, noodly/ soupy, as tak dinafikan chinese hot plates lebih sihat, especially at nite. tapi, kan adzimi, shah alam target melayu/student/family. so kena fikir tu jugak.

Tu sebab mamak boleh laku, even mamak yg high class, they've got good locations + food that caters for all tastes, and is a neutral ground i.e. restoran bukan nampak sgt hak milik melayu, cina atau india (though we know it belongs to a mamak).

I'm sorry to say this lah, but the fact is chinese love to eat out, and malays dont, at least not if you're planning on the semi-posh/posh level. You must be able to attract the chinese, the fact still remains that they are the ones with most of the $$$$.

Faizie, dari segi volume, memang kalau bukak mamak memang boleh tarik students. Tapi again there are so many mamak type of restaurants arounds, bila ada yg baru, students lari ke situ pulak. Makanan pun standard je lah, upah bangla ramai2 jaga kedai

Aku memang kalau weekends makan luar. Kalau ada peluang try lah jugak kedai2 yg ada, tak kira warung atau kedai posh, yg penting sedap.
