Kadang2 boleh tabik jugak orang yg sanggup duduk lama kat satu company eventhough they get really bad treatment (have seen a few). Macam Mat Yie gak, kalau aku dah lama blah.

A lot of people are comfy in their own comfort zone, so tak berapa berani nak venture out to hop jobs. Sometimes just need that extra little push to see that there are other opportunities out there.

Pesa, memang boleh nak buat camtu, this is called 'flipping' but very high risk, unless you buy at high demand area. Sekarang ni property oversupply. Plus 'flipping' doesnt guarantee high returns, rugi pun mungkin.

Mat Yie, yes the grass is not always greener. And yes i agree its probably time for her to move on considering she's earning about the same as new diploma grad after 5 years.

TQ 4 clear advice. I partly agree with u & I should generalised company/race, but did I? One thing clear about this, she deserves somewhere better. Not to perceive grass is always greener in the other side, but when stime it does. It's time to move...

Pesa, memang layu. Kesian gak kat adik aku tu. Hari2 kerja sampai tengah malam. Gaji ciput, increment jgn haraplah. After a year i told him to quit and try somewhere else. Colleagues dia keje dah dekat 5 tahun tak gerak mana pun.

Ihsan, property is the best tool to hedge against inflation. InsyaAllah tanah akan sentiasa naik. So kalau ada duit lebih, baik beli property (tapi kenelah jugak hati2 memilih). Masing2 ada cara masing2 untuk invest.

So my point is, its not fair to generalize, and also sama jugak its not fair for me to generalize self owned/family business tadi, sebab ada yg pandai jaga employee dia.

My brother used to work for a big tycoon (dont want to name names here), and its a family owned business. Anak2, sedara mara semua boss dalam company tu. Memang kene perah habis, pastu tak tau jaga hati employees lak tu. Itu Melayu sama Melayu tu.

Tapi yang praying time tu, company tu tak boleh nak halang. But they have the right to ask her to work extra hours to cover for that. And also can forget about career advancement sebab memang limited and salary increment pun limited.

Bila its self/family owned, biasalah, you want to try to keep the cost low, because its personal own, the instinct to do that is even more. And since there are lots of grads out there, they go by take it or leave it lah.
